Celebrating 35 Years of ASEAN Heritage Parks

The ASEAN Heritage Parks

First envisioned in 1978 as a group of national parks and nature reserves with outstanding wilderness and biodiversity values, the ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHP) Programme was established to highlight the importance of a select group of protected areas in regional and global efforts in biodiversity conservation

The 6th AHP Conference

As the Secretariat of the AHP Programme, the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) has established regional mechanisms to support the AMS in the implementation of the AHP Programme. Every three years, the ACB organises an AHP Conference, which is attended primarily by AHP Committee Members.

Marketplace

The Sixth ASEAN Heritage Parks Conference (AHP6) Market Place and Exhibit will highlight the milestones, successes, and key accomplishments of the ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHP) programme in its 35 years of existence. It will also provide an opportunity for the AHPs to showcase their biodiversity-based products and good protected area management practices.
